Revealed during Sony’s State of Play event on June 4, 2025, this upcoming title serves as a prequel, exploring Bond’s early days as a young, resourceful, and sometimes reckless recruit transitioning from the Royal Navy to MI6. The game is slated for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
In 007 First Light, players will experience Bond’s origin story as he embarks on a mission to find the missing agent 009, a task that will earn him his “00” status. The gameplay offers a blend of stealth, combat, and charm, allowing players to approach missions in various ways, reminiscent of IO Interactive’s Hitman series.
