ASRock releases BIOS Version 3.50 with AGESA 1.2.0.3G for AM5 Motherboards

ASRock dropped BIOS version 3.40 for its AM5 motherboards a much-needed update aimed at tackling the infamous “dying CPU” problem that’s been plaguing users. This issue, often linked to aggressive overclocking or unstable memory configs, has led to Ryzen processors failing prematurely on some AM5 setups. However, Reddit threads suggest the fix isn’t fully baked yet, with ongoing reports of troubles, particularly on the new Ryzen 9000X3D series. In many cases, affected systems weren’t even running the latest firmware.

ASRock’s biggest issue isn’t a lack of effort to address the problem—it’s poor communication. The company has yet to issue official statements, publish a roadmap, or make clear attempts to alert customers about potential risks. To add to the frustration, ASRock continues to roll out new motherboards, leaving users uncertain whether these models suffer from the same issues.

Most recently, ASRock released BIOS version 3.50, as noted by moderators on the ASRock subreddit. The update, launched on September 26, is available for X870, B850, and B650 motherboards, as well as one A620 model. According to the changelog, the update “updates AGESA to ComboAM5 1.2.0.3g.” Beyond this brief note, no additional details were provided, though users are expected to share their findings in the coming days.

You’re talking about an AMD bios release. It’s not an ASRock “Release”. It’s simply downloadable on it’s website as well as other AMD vendors web-sites. Sounds like you’re trying to “smear” ASRock. Sounds ignorant.
