Dell unveils Pro Rugged 10 and 12 tablets featuring Intel Core Ultra processors, dual hot-swappable batteries, and removable SSDs, price starts at €2,900

Dell has introduced two new rugged tablets, the Pro Rugged 10 and Pro Rugged 12, which are powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” processors and designed as Copilot+ PCs with military-grade durability. These devices are built to withstand harsh conditions, including drops, dust, and high-pressure water, while running Windows 11 Pro. Priced at nearly three times the cost of typical gaming handhelds, they emphasize modularity and enterprise-level features rather than consumer entertainment.

Both models incorporate Intel Core Ultra 200V processors equipped with Neural Processing Units (NPUs) for AI tasks, along with dual hot-swappable batteries for extended use without downtime and removable SSDs for easy upgrades or data security. They boast an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance, have been tested to MIL-STD-810H military standards, and support operation with gloves or wet hands, making them suitable for fieldwork in challenging environments.

The Pro Rugged 12 features a larger 12-inch Full HD+ display with a brightness of 1200 nits, while the Pro Rugged 10 has a 10-inch display rated at 1000 nits. Both screens are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Connectivity options include optional 5G and Wi-Fi 7, and the tablets come with integrated Intel Arc 130V or 140V graphics, 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5x-8533 memory, and a base 256GB removable SSD. For security and enterprise integration, they offer vPro Enterprise support, TPM 2.0, and optional features like smartcard readers and fingerprint scanners.

Processor configurations for the Pro Rugged 10 include a variety of Intel Core Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 options from the 200V series, such as the Core Ultra 5 226V, 236V, 238V, and the more powerful Core Ultra 7 266V and 268V models, all with integrated NPUs to enhance AI performance.

The Dell Pro Rugged 10 is currently available in Europe with a starting price of €2,908.84, positioning it as a high-end workstation tablet despite its compact form factor, potentially making it one of the most powerful handheld Lunar Lake devices on the market.
