TeamGroup’s T-Force Z54E PCIe 5.0 SSD delivers a read speed of up to 14,900 MB/s

TeamGroup has introduced the T-Force Z54E PCIe 5.0 SSD, a high-performance storage drive designed for next-generation gaming and workstation systems, boasting impressive sequential read speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s, which positions it as technically faster than the Samsung 9100 PRO in read performance. This SSD supports PCIe Gen5 x4 interfaces and is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, utilizing the Phison E28 controller built on TSMC’s 6nm process along with the NVMe 2.0 protocol. It incorporates an on-board DRAM cache to ensure sustained performance and stability during heavy workloads, and employs high-density 3D TLC NAND flash memory for reliable data storage.

The T-Force Z54E comes in an M.2 form factor and is available in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities, each equipped with an ultra-thin graphene heatsink for thermal management, with options to pair it with TeamGroup’s liquid or active cooling systems for even better heat dissipation. Performance metrics across the lineup include sequential read speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s for all models, while write speeds reach up to 13,700 MB/s for the 1TB variant and up to 14,000 MB/s for the 2TB and 4TB models. Endurance ratings, measured in terabytes written (TBW), are 600 TBW for the 1TB model, 1200 TBW for the 2TB, and 2400 TBW for the 4TB, reflecting scalability with capacity. The drives emphasize sustainability through eco-friendly production practices, such as the use of halogen-free materials and recyclable packaging, and each model is backed by a 5-year limited warranty.

Although specific pricing and release dates have not been confirmed by TeamGroup, the SSD’s part numbers are listed as TM8FG8001T0C129 for the 1TB, TM8FG8002T0C129 for the 2TB, and TM8FG8004T0C129 for the 4TB. This launch underscores TeamGroup’s focus on pushing the boundaries of PCIe 5.0 technology, offering users enhanced speed and efficiency for demanding applications.
