The AOOSTAR NEX395 is a high-performance mini PC launched in China, powered by the flagship AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, which is part of the Strix Halo family featuring 16 Zen 5 cores and 32 threads with boost clocks up to 5.1 GHz, an 80MB cache, and an integrated Radeon 8060S iGPU based on RDNA 3.5 architecture with 40 compute units, delivering graphics performance comparable to an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. This APU is designed for demanding tasks like AI model processing and gaming, supported by a 140W TDP performance mode that enables sustained high loads without throttling. The system stands out with its 128GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory running at 8,533 MT/s over a 256-bit interface, the fastest configuration available for Strix Halo platforms, ensuring ample bandwidth for large AI workloads and feeding the iGPU effectively without bottlenecks. Storage is handled by three PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, with the launch configuration including a 2TB SSD for robust data handling in workstation scenarios.
The NEX395 has a strong set of ports for a small machine. You get two USB4 ports that handle fast data and display output, two 2.5GbE Ethernet ports for network setups, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A ports, one USB 2.0 Type A port, DisplayPort, HDMI, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It can handle plenty of accessories and multi monitor setups without any trouble. Cooling is handled by the Glacier VC system. It uses an integrated vapor chamber plate to keep the system stable during heavy work. This design helps the mini PC reach solid benchmark numbers. In 3DMark it scores about 11550 overall, with roughly 11639 on the GPU side and 11073 on the CPU side at a 120W power draw. The chassis has been redesigned with a cleaner and more professional look. It stays compact and is easy to open for upgrades. The exact measurements are not listed yet, but the shape and style lean more toward a workstation than the earlier gaming inspired previews.
The NEX395 starts at about 14,999 CNY, which is roughly (2,121 USD), for the base model with 128 GB RAM and 2 TB storage in China. It went on sale after early teasers in July 2025 and a design refresh in November. It mainly aims at AI users, content creators, and professionals who need strong performance in a small system. Some outlets mention a higher launch price of around 19,999 CNY, about (2,800 USD), which may apply to premium versions or higher store pricing. A global release is expected, but there is no confirmed date yet. Partners like MinixPC may offer lower cost versions starting near 1,099 USD. In short, the NEX395 delivers a lot of power in a small body and is built for AI workloads and heavy graphics tasks.
