Rockstar Games has officially launched the website for Grand Theft Auto VI at rockstargames.com/VI, providing detailed insights into the upcoming title’s characters, setting, and story, along with the latest trailers and media. The highly anticipated game is now scheduled to release on May 26, 2026, following a delay from its original fall 2025 launch. Rockstar explained the delay was necessary to ensure the final product meets their high standards of quality.
Set in the fictional state of Leonida, which is inspired by Florida, GTA 6 will bring players back to the neon-lit streets of Vice City, as well as other varied environments across the region. The story centers around Lucia and Jason, a criminal couple with a Bonnie and Clyde-style dynamic. Lucia, who has spent time in the Leonida Penitentiary, is now focused on making smarter choices to achieve the dream life her mother once envisioned for her.
The trailer showcases significant graphical enhancements, highlighting the game’s modern-day setting while featuring a nostalgic 1980s soundtrack. Notably, this installment marks the first time a female protagonist, Lucia, takes center stage in the series.

On May 6, 2025, Rockstar released the second official trailer, giving fans a deeper look into the game’s narrative, characters, and immersive world. You can view the trailer directly on YouTube. For ongoing updates and more detailed content, fans can visit the official GTA 6 website.
