ACER Confirms GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU Clock Speeds and TDP Specs

Acer is set to introduce its Predator Nitro series laptops featuring Nvidia’s new RTX 5050 GPUs, replacing the current RTX 4050 models. While no official release date has been announced, the RTX 5050 laptop GPUs will offer a range of power configurations, from 50W to 100W total graphics power (TGP). Unlike the desktop RTX 5050, which remains largely undisclosed, the mobile version has surfaced through credible leaks, with Acer providing the most reliable details yet, including TGP and clock speed specifications for various RTX 5050 configurations.

According to Acer’s official laptop GPU power specifications page, the RTX 5050 will be integrated into multiple Nitro series models with varying performance levels. The entry-level Acer Nitro V 14 AI will feature an RTX 5050 with a 50W stock TGP, up to 60W with dynamic boost, and a clock speed of 1,500 MHz. The Acer Nitro V 15 steps up to a 60W stock TGP, a 1,905 MHz clock speed, and a maximum TGP of 75W. The top-tier configuration, found in the Acer Nitro 16 AI and Nitro 18 AI, boasts a 100W TGP, up to 115W with dynamic boost, and a clock speed of 2,550 MHz.

These RTX 5050 GPUs will be housed in the same chassis as higher-end GPUs, including models supporting up to the RTX 5070 Ti. While Acer has not confirmed a launch timeline, and Nvidia has yet to officially unveil the RTX 5050, leaks suggest the mobile GPU will feature 8 GB of GDDR7 memory. In contrast, desktop RTX 5050 variants are expected to use GDDR6 memory to distinguish them from higher-tier RTX 5060 GPUs.
