Historically, GRE models have taken around a year to reach markets outside China, but the RX 9070 GRE is bucking this trend, signaling AMD’s aggressive push to expand its mid-range GPU dominance. In Hong Kong, Felton Distribution, a prominent computer retailer, has announced the arrival of the ASRock Radeon RX 9070 GRE Steel Legend Dark 12GB OC edition. Meanwhile, Sapphire is expected to spearhead the retail launch in Taiwan. These two manufacturers, alongside ASUS, are the first to produce RX 9070 GRE variants, with ASRock’s offering standing out for its robust design and performance.
The ASRock RX 9070 GRE Steel Legend Dark edition features a boost clock of 2920 MHz, a 130 MHz increase over the reference model, and is equipped with 3072 Stream Processors and 12 GB of GDDR6 memory. Its triple-fan cooling system and dual 8-pin PCIe connectors ensure efficient thermal performance and stability under load. While the product page is live on ASRock’s Taiwanese subdomain, it’s notably absent from their main website, underscoring the region-specific nature of this release.
