The AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT, part of the RDNA 4 lineup, is positioned as a major upgrade for 1080p and 1440p gaming, aiming to rival NVIDIA’s mid-range GPUs. While official benchmarks show promising performance, upcoming independent reviews will provide a clearer picture. AMD clarified that the RX 9060 XT is not a direct successor to the RX 7600 XT, but rather a replacement for the RX 7700 XT, potentially nearing RX 7800 XT performance.

AMD is now sharing benchmarks against the RX 7600 XT (16GB) and RX 7600 (8GB). According to the results, the RX 9060 XT 8GB delivers, on average, a 55% performance improvement over the RX 7600 at 1080p with Ultra settings. Meanwhile, the RX 9060 XT 16GB is reported to be 46% faster than the RX 7600 XT when running at 1440p Ultra settings.

The RX 9060 XT is built on the RDNA 4 architecture, featuring enhancements such as a 128-bit memory bus and options for either 8GB or 16GB of GDDR6 memory. Priced at $299 for the 8GB variant and $349 for the 16GB model, it targets budget-conscious gamers while offering strong value compared to the RTX 5060 Ti. AMD also strategically highlights MSRP pricing, further positioning the RX 9060 XT as a cost-effective alternative.
