AMD Reveal Radeon RX 9060 XT Reference GPU Design, Full Reveal Coming May 21

AMD is set to make significant announcements at Computex 2025, with a press conference scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, at 11:00 AM Taipei time. Jack Huynh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of AMD’s Computing and Graphics Group, will lead the event, focusing on advancements in gaming, AI PCs, and enterprise solutions. Unfortunately, AMD has once again clarified that the image is an artistic interpretation and not an actual reference design. AMD will not be selling this model directly, meaning the RX 9060 XT will be another RDNA4 launch limited to board partners.

AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX 9060 XT has been showcased in an official render featuring a dual-fan reference design, which may exist only as a limited demonstration rather than a retail product. The card is expected to use a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, indicating a TDP of around 200W or less, although custom and overclocked models could require additional power connectors to support higher performance. The GPU will feature 2048 Stream Processors and come in both 8 GB and 16 GB memory variants, with AMD focusing primarily on the 16 GB edition initially. Sporting a 128-bit memory bus, the RX 9060 XT is positioned to compete directly with NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 Ti, targeting the mid-range gaming segment. If AMD manages to balance pricing, power efficiency, and performance effectively, this card could offer strong 1080p and 1440p gaming capabilities with the added benefit of ample VRAM for future-proofing. Many gamers will be watching closely to see how it performs against NVIDIA’s competition when the full details are revealed at Computex.
