AMD appears to be gearing up for the launch of the Ryzen 5 7500X3D, a new entry-level processor featuring the company’s acclaimed 3D V-Cache technology. Spotted on the website of UK distributor Westcoast, the chip carries the product code 100-000001904, signaling its imminent arrival as the most affordable Zen 4-based X3D offering to date. This development comes amid AMD’s ongoing efforts to expand its AM5 platform lineup, providing gamers with future-proof options without breaking the bank.

The Ryzen 5 7500X3D builds on the foundations of the existing Ryzen 5 7500F but adds the game-changing 3D V-Cache stack, which stacks an additional 64MB of L3 cache on top of the standard 32MB for a total of 96MB. This configuration promises significant boosts in gaming workloads by reducing latency and keeping more data closer to the cores. With six Zen 4 cores and 12 threads, a 65W TDP, and compatibility with the AM5 socket, the processor is expected to deliver solid 1080p and 1440p performance while running cooler and more efficiently than its higher-end siblings. Positioned as a “smaller sibling” to the Ryzen 5 7600X3D—which launched last year at $299 and quickly became a favorite for mid-range builds—the 7500X3D aims to undercut that price point, potentially landing in the $200-$250 range. This would make it a compelling upgrade path for users still on older AM4 systems, replacing budget X3D stalwarts like the Ryzen 5 5500X3D while offering the benefits of DDR5 memory support and PCIe 5.0. Compared to the eight-core Ryzen 7 7800X3D ($449), it sacrifices two cores for a lower cost and power draw, but retains the cache magic that has made AMD’s X3D lineup dominant in frame-rate-sensitive titles.
