ASUS and Noctua have collaborated to launch the ASUS GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua OC Edition, a high-performance graphics card unveiled at Computex 2025, designed for gamers and content creators who prioritize whisper-quiet operation without compromising power. This card, built on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, boasts a boost clock of 2700 MHz in default mode and 2730 MHz in OC mode via GPU Tweak III software, paired with 16GB of GDDR7 memory running at 30Gbps on a 256-bit bus, delivering 960GB/s bandwidth. It features a robust cooling system with three Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 120mm fans—a first for this partnership—combined with a custom-engineered heatsink, a large vapor chamber, seven 8mm and four 6mm heatpipes, and a phase-change GPU thermal pad to ensure exceptional heat dissipation and lower GPU temperatures for enhanced performance and reliability.

The fans, offset in speed to prevent acoustic issues like humming, enable near-silent operation, further supported by 0dB technology that halts fans below 50°C for silent performance during light tasks or gaming. The card’s quad-slot design, measuring 385mm long and 151mm wide, sports Noctua’s iconic tri-tone brown and beige color scheme with a logo-embossed backplate, though its size demands a spacious chassis like a full-tower or large mid-tower. It supports PCIe 5.0, includes 2x HDMI 2.1b, 3x DisplayPort 2.1b, HDCP 2.3, and OpenGL 4.6, and leverages AI-powered DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation for superior gaming and creative workloads like 4K gaming, video editing, and 3D rendering.

Additional features include a Dual BIOS for switching between Quiet and Performance modes, GPU Tweak III software for intuitive tweaking and monitoring, and SFF-Ready compatibility for compact builds, though its size may limit case options. Requiring an 850W PSU with a 16-pin connector, the card has garnered praise for its cooling efficiency and quietness, potentially making it the quietest air-cooled RTX 5080. Currently, no listings are available for the RTX 5080 Noctua Edition, except for placeholders with inflated prices. Retailers lack stock and shipping details. Although the card has been officially announced, confirmed pricing and availability information remain unavailable.
