ASUS has expanded its Radeon RX 9000 series lineup with the launch of the ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT White OC Edition, a visually striking graphics card designed for gamers and PC builders seeking a blend of performance and aesthetics. This white-themed variant of the previously released black PRIME model offers the same robust specifications with a fresh, clean look tailored for white-themed PC builds. The ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT White OC Edition is crafted to appeal to enthusiasts aiming for an all-white or themed PC setup. While the core design, including the cooler mold and structural layout, mirrors the black edition, the white colorway gives it a distinct, premium appearance. The card maintains a compact 2.5-slot design, measuring 312 mm x 130 mm x 50 mm, making it suitable for both standard and smaller PC cases. Its aesthetic is enhanced by a sleek plastic shroud, a ventilated aluminum backplate, and a lack of RGB lighting, catering to builders who prefer a minimalist, clean look without flashy illumination.

Built on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture, the Radeon RX 9070 XT White OC Edition delivers high-end performance for 1440p and 4K gaming. The card features 16GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit interface, running at 20 Gbps, which provides a bandwidth of 640 GB/s. It includes 64 Compute Units, 64 third-generation Ray Accelerators for improved ray tracing, and 128 second-generation AI Accelerators for enhanced upscaling and content creation tasks. The card also incorporates 64 MB of Infinity Cache to reduce memory latency and boost performance.
In default mode, the card offers a game clock of 2,460 MHz and a boost clock of 3,010 MHz, which are 60 MHz and 40 MHz higher than AMD’s reference specifications, respectively. In OC mode, enabled via ASUS’s GPU Tweak III software, the game clock increases to 2,480 MHz and the boost clock to 3,030 MHz, providing a slight performance edge. A dual BIOS switch allows users to toggle between Performance and Quiet modes, balancing speed and acoustics based on preference.
The card supports PCIe 5.0 x16 and is equipped with three 8-pin power connectors, with a recommended 750W power supply for optimal performance. Display outputs include one HDMI 2.1b port and three DisplayPort 2.1a ports, supporting up to four monitors at a maximum resolution of 7680 x 4320.

ASUS has equipped the RX 9070 XT White OC Edition with a robust cooling system featuring three Axial-tech fans with dual-ball bearings, designed for durability and improved airflow. The fans incorporate a smaller hub and a barrier ring to increase downward air pressure, ensuring efficient cooling. The 0dB technology allows the fans to stop completely below 55°C, enabling silent operation during light workloads or less demanding games. A phase-change thermal pad enhances heat transfer by filling microscopic gaps between the GPU and the cooling module, while a ventilated aluminum backplate aids in heat dissipation. These features contribute to lower temperatures and a longer lifespan for the card.
The card also benefits from ASUS’s Auto-Extreme technology, which completes soldering in a single pass, reducing thermal strain on components and enhancing reliability. A GPU Guard and bracket ensure uniform mounting pressure and added stability, making the card a durable choice for long-term use.

The ASUS Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT White OC Edition supports AMD’s latest technologies, including FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4), an AI-powered upscaling solution that boosts frame rates while maintaining high image quality, particularly at 4K and ultrawide resolutions. The card also integrates AMD HYPR-RX6, which combines features like Radeon Super Resolution, Fluid Motion Frames, Anti-Lag, and Radeon Boost for optimized gaming performance. The AMD Radiance Display Engine enhances multimedia and streaming experiences, making the card a versatile option for both gamers and content creators.
ASUS’s GPU Tweak III software allows users to fine-tune frequencies, voltage, and fan speeds, with a convenient overlay for real-time monitoring. The card also comes with a one-month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, adding value for creative professionals.
While ASUS has not yet announced the official pricing for the Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT White OC Edition, the black version retails for approximately $719.99, compared to AMD’s reference MSRP of $599 for the RX 9070 XT. Given the aesthetic upgrade and factory overclock, the white edition may command a similar premium. Availability details are also pending, but the card is expected to hit major retailers like Amazon, Newegg, and Micro Center soon.
