EA has confirmed that the next Battlefield game, referred to as Battlefield 6, is expected to launch before April 2026, within their fiscal year 2026 (April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026). This was announced in their Q3 FY25 financial report, with a full reveal planned for mid-2025, likely around Summer Game Fest. The game is in pre-alpha, with Battlefield Labs playtesting underway to refine gameplay, aiming to avoid past launch issues like Battlefield 2042. EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson noted flexibility in the release date to avoid competition, such as GTA 6, and emphasized it as the “biggest Battlefield ever,” developed by DICE, Criterion, Motive, and Ripple Effect.
