The MSI Cubi NUC AI+ 2MG is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” processors, available in three configurations: Core Ultra 5 226V, Core Ultra 7 258V, and the flagship Core Ultra 9 288V. These 8-core, 8-thread chips feature Intel Arc integrated graphics (130V for Core Ultra 5, 140V for Core Ultra 7 and 9) and a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) delivering up to 48 TOPS of AI performance. This enables seamless support for Microsoft’s Copilot+ features, including Live Captions with Live Translation, Cocreator, Recall, and Click-to-Do, making it ideal for productivity and AI-driven tasks.
Memory is integrated on-package, with the Core Ultra 5 model featuring 16 GB of LPDDR5X-8533, while the Core Ultra 7 and 9 models boast 32 GB. While memory upgrades are not possible, storage is user-upgradable via a single M.2 2280 slot supporting PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSDs.

Despite its compact dimensions (135.6 x 132.5 x 50.1 mm, weighing under 0.67 kg), the Cubi NUC AI+ 2MG offers an extensive array of ports. The front panel includes two USB-A (10 Gbps), a microSD card reader, a combo audio jack, and a power button with an integrated fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. The rear features two Thunderbolt 4 ports (one with 100W USB Power Delivery), two USB 2.0 ports, dual 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports, and an HDMI 2.1 port supporting 4K@60Hz. This allows the mini PC to drive multiple 4K displays, making it suitable for multitasking and digital signage.
The device supports WiFi 6E (Intel AX211) or WiFi 7 (Intel BE201) with Bluetooth 5.3/5.4, ensuring fast and reliable wireless connectivity. MSI’s Power Link technology enables the PC to be powered directly by compatible MSI monitors, reducing cable clutter, while a VESA mount option enhances workspace flexibility.

The Cubi NUC AI+ 2MG is designed with AI at its core. A dedicated Copilot button provides instant access to Microsoft’s AI tools, while built-in D-Mic and speaker support voice-activated commands, enhancing user interaction. The NPU’s 48 TOPS performance enables on-device AI processing, reducing reliance on cloud services for tasks like real-time transcription and offline translations.
Security is a priority, with features like dTPM 2.0 for hardware-level data protection and a Kensington Lock slot. The fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button ensures quick and secure logins, making the device suitable for business and enterprise environments.

MSI emphasizes sustainability with the Cubi NUC AI+ 2MG, using 37.25% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics for the chassis and FSC-certified packaging. The MSI Power Meter application allows users to monitor power consumption, track carbon emissions, and estimate electricity costs, promoting energy efficiency.

The Cubi NUC AI+ 2MG is available for pre-order at retailers like B&H and CDW. Pricing starts at $899 for a barebones model with a Core Ultra 7 258V and 32 GB of RAM, while a Core Ultra 9 288V model is priced at $999. A fully configured version with a 1 TB SSD and Windows 11 Pro is available for $1,257. The Core Ultra 5 variant is not yet listed, but further details are expected soon. Shipping dates remain unconfirmed, but pre-orders are live, with a 3-year warranty providing added peace of mind for business and education users.
