TOPC, a Chinese hardware manufacturer, has announced the launch of the TR9 AI Mini PC, the first mini PC to feature the AMD Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360 processor. Priced starting at just $362, this innovative device brings cutting-edge AI performance and efficiency to the compact PC market, making it an attractive option for professionals, gamers, and tech enthusiasts alike.

The TR9 AI Mini PC is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360, an 8-core, 16-thread processor with a unique configuration of 3 Zen 5 cores and 5 Zen 5c cores. This hybrid architecture, part of AMD’s Strix Point family, balances high performance with energy efficiency, delivering clock speeds of up to 5.0 GHz for Zen 5 cores and 3.5 GHz for Zen 5c cores. The processor also includes a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) with 50 TOPS of AI performance, making it ideal for AI-driven workloads such as machine learning, content creation, and data processing.
Complementing the CPU is the integrated Radeon 880M graphics, built on AMD’s RDNA 3.5 architecture with 12 compute units (CUs). This iGPU offers robust graphical performance for tasks like video editing, 3D rendering, and even casual gaming, eliminating the need for a discrete graphics card in many scenarios. The TR9 AI also supports modern connectivity options, including PCIe 4.0, USB 4, and LPDDR5x-8000 RAM with ECC support, ensuring compatibility with high-speed components and enterprise-grade reliability.

TOPC offers the TR9 AI Mini PC in multiple configurations to cater to different budgets and use cases. The base model, priced at approximately $320, features the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor, which also has an 8-core/16-thread setup but with a 4x Zen 5 and 4x Zen 5c core configuration. For those seeking enhanced performance, the Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360 model starts at $362, providing a cost-effective yet powerful solution. Higher-end configurations with AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processors are also available, priced at approximately $529 and $585, respectively, for users requiring 10 or 12-core performance for demanding tasks.
While full specifications for RAM and storage are yet to be disclosed, the TR9 AI’s compact design and competitive pricing make it a standout in the mini PC market. Its affordability, combined with AMD’s latest AI-optimized technology, positions it as a versatile choice for both consumer and enterprise applications.
The introduction of the TR9 AI Mini PC marks a significant milestone in the adoption of AMD’s Strix Point and Krackan Point APUs. Initially, manufacturers were hesitant to integrate these processors into mini PCs, but TOPC’s bold move demonstrates confidence in their potential. The Ryzen AI 7 PRO 360, in particular, targets the mainstream segment with its low-power design and AI capabilities, making it suitable for compact systems where space and efficiency are critical.
