ZOTAC is Quietly Stuffing RTX 5060 Ti PCIe Chips into Mini-PCs

Shortly before Computex, ZOTAC made headlines by announcing what it claims to be the world’s first Mini-PC equipped with a full desktop GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card. This GPU, a newly released 180W model, typically demands substantial cooling often in the form of large 2.5-slot, triple-fan setups making ZOTAC’s compact integration particularly surprising. At Computex, the company publicly showcased the prototype, confirming its viability. The system features a full desktop RTX 5060 Ti with a custom cooling solution that includes two fans resembling older blower-style coolers.

However, the GPU is soldered directly to the motherboard, meaning it cannot be removed, replaced, or upgraded. Despite the GB206 GPU only needing 8 PCIe lanes, ZOTAC has connected all 16 lanes possibly hinting at future models or simply due to motherboard design choices. According to Hardware&Co, all 16 lanes are active. The final product will replace the prototype’s translucent cover with a more refined honeycomb-style casing. While ZOTAC has yet to announce pricing or a release date, the system currently remains a prototype. Still, it signals a bold step forward in high-performance small-form-factor computing, and may appeal to gamers and creators looking for desktop-class power in a compact form.
